Challenge

Aysgarth School, a prestigious all-boys prep school with over 150 years of history, was ready to make a bold move into co-education.

Our challenge was to communicate this significant change while preserving the school's rich heritage. We needed to craft messaging that would reassure current parents while attracting prospective families.

The initial marketing exceeded all expectations and targets, so much that we were then commissioned to create a new school video.

Rather than create one long film, we created three shorter films which spoke directly to specific concerns, from academic excellence, pastoral care and the day-to-day life of a child. The project involved coordinating with students, staff, and parents across multiple shooting days, balancing authentic storytelling with minimal disruption to school life.

Going Co-Educational

We worked with the admissions and marketing team to produce a series of deliverables to announce the move to co-ed status. This included an FAQ booklet, postcards, print adverts, social media posts and letters to prospective families and alumni.


Our work is shortlisted for 2025 AMCIS Impact Award in the communication category.

Video

Video creation

Rather than create a single 10 minute school video, we created a series of three short films. Each film spoke directly to a different avatar addressing the concerns they may have with sending their child to boarding school.

Each video was further spliced into 5 vertical videos for use on social media.
