Challenge

Aysgarth School, a prestigious all-boys prep school with over 150 years of history, was ready to make a bold move into co-education.

Our challenge was to communicate this significant change while preserving the school's rich heritage. We needed to craft messaging that would reassure current parents while attracting prospective families.

The initial marketing exceeded all expectations and targets, so much that we formed an ongoing relationship and continued to work with the school across multiple projects.

Outcomes

Our work with Aysgarth and the Head of Marketing and admissions gained recognition as it was shortlisted for 2025 AMCIS Impact award in the communication category.

The work we created led to interest by the Rugby Schools Group and later Aysgarth's acquisition by RSG and security for the school into the future.

Our work continued and most recently Aysgarth has bucked the trend in private school admissions with both Girls and Boys admissions at full capacity for the 2026 intake.

Marketing messaging

Going Co-Educational

We worked with the admissions and marketing team to produce a series of deliverables to announce the move to co-ed status. This included an FAQ booklet, postcards, print adverts, social media posts and letters to prospective families and alumni.

Video

Video creation

Rather than create a single 10 minute school video, we created a series of three short films. Each film spoke directly to a different avatar addressing the concerns they may have with sending their child to boarding school.

Each video was further spliced into multiple vertical videos for use on social media.
